This is new to me too!

Thanks for visiting my blog. This is a new and exciting way to communicate with all of my students, parents, and others who are interested in what is taking place in my classroom.

I titled my blog "There is no royal road to learning..." because learning is never easy, even for teachers. As teachers, we are constantly challenged to find the most interesting and exciting ways to connect with students while maintaining the high standards that are necessary for their success.

Our society is now so techno-savvy that we can no longer deny its value in the classroom.

I would hope that this venture makes life easier for all those involved. And it is my greatest hope that this blog helps to open up the lines of communication between teacher and student and teacher and parent.

As a student, you should visit this blog on a regular basis to stay informed of what is going on in the classroom.

As a parent, visit regularly to see what your kids are doing.
